Turn your food and yard waste into a nutrient-rich amendment for cultivating food. Talk to experts to learn how, why, and when too much compost is a bad thing.

Tour a composting facility- 6 PM
Explore the different methods of composting for the home, garden, or farm at any scale to reduce the amount of food waste that ends up in the landfill.
Learn how to build a pallet compost bin, try the composting toilet, save your leaves for a leaf mold mulch, and screen compost for a finer quality amendment.

Land Management Practices- 6:30PM
How you treat your soil matters! Take a look at different soil samples and how they are managed to see the difference in soil structures and creatures!
Explore the world beneath our feet through hands-on activities for the kids!
